Bring your used electrical equipment and support the Disabled Supporters Club
A combination of sporting excitement and environmental stewardship. On May 25th, a family picnic will be held at the Arena Zabrze, marking the end of the 2023/2024 PKO BP Ekstraklasa season. During the event, a charity collection of used electrical and electronic equipment will be held to benefit the Górnik Zabrze Disabled Supporters’ Club. The Odzyskaj Środowisko Foundation has joined the initiative.
Return your electronic waste and help others
On May 25th, Górnik Zabrze will face Pogoń Szczecin away. The match will be broadcast live on the TV and will be one of the highlights of the family picnic, which begins at 2:30 PM at the Zabrze stadium, at 81 Roosevelta Street. And that’s not all. The event also includes contests with prizes, a fan shop, and another match, this time in the third league, between KKS Górnik Zabrze and KKS Bogdańczowice. During the picnic, you’ll also be able to drop off used electrical and electronic equipment.
A special container for electronic waste will be placed at the Górnik Zabrze stadium on May 23rd. Anyone, not just fans, can bring in unwanted or damaged equipment. Items accepted include old washing machines, refrigerators, computers, irons, radios, and battery-powered devices.
"This is the perfect opportunity to get rid of old, broken, or unused electrical and electronic equipment. All e-waste will be taken to professional MB Recycling and Maya Victory processing plants, where plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and glass will be recovered. This way, we close the loop and protect the natural environment. I encourage Zabrze residents to participate in the electronic waste collection. The funds collected for every ton of used electrical and electronic equipment will go to the Górnik Zabrze Disabled Supporters' Club."
Funds from the electrical waste collection will be donated to the Association “MINER ZABRZE DISABLED FANS’ CLUB”
