A conference was held at the Maya Victory plant in Zabrze, devoted to an innovative project increasing the efficiency of recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment, which is implemented under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, Sub-Measure 19.1.1 Environmentally friendly technologies – Green growth.
Representatives from Tomra Sorting AS, Maya Victory, and the MB Recycling Research and Development Center attended the event. Potential contractors interested in collaborating with Maya Victory were also present, demonstrating the significant interest in the project and its potential in the market.
The project aims to increase material recovery by implementing an innovative, highly selective and automated sorting process. Technological support is provided by the renowned Norwegian company TOMRA Sorting AS, which provides advanced automation and sorting solutions.
During the meeting, the project’s detailed objectives and benefits were presented, along with a discussion of the technological aspects of implementing modern sorting systems. Information regarding the project’s co-financing sources from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 was also presented. The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish new business contacts that could contribute to the project’s further development.
The project aims not only to increase the efficiency of WEEE recycling but also to utilize environmentally friendly technologies. Implementing modern solutions has the potential to significantly increase the recovery rate of valuable materials, which is crucial for sustainable development and a circular economy.
