Implementation of the investment in Maya Victory in Zabrze
The main goal of the project is to implement an innovative process for processing and sorting waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) at Maya Victory sp. z o.o. by adapting the existing XSS (XRay Sorting System) line to separate non-ferrous metals using the newly purchased XTract separator supplied by the Norwegian project partner – TOMRA Sorting AS.
XTract device
When sorting metals using X-ray transmission technology, the XTract device can identify the content of the sorted material, regardless of its color and impurities. Material is identified based on atomic density, dividing it into different types. In this way, in several cycles, we can separate, for example, refrigerator scrap, which contains fractions such as:
- aluminum
- ZnAl
- copper
- aluminum with copper
- stainless steel
This will allow us to obtain a clean final product with precise specifications for the target customer (steel mill, etc.).
The X-TRACT installation was co-financed by the EEA and Norway Grants. You can find more information about the project here.
Maya Victory Sp. z o.o. is implementing project no. NORW.19.01.01-10-0019/20 entitled:
“Automation and increasing the efficiency of recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment through the implementation of process innovation”
